According to the studies and researches, it is believed that one out of five people checks their cell phones every thirty minutes. It has become very difficult for the people to live without their cell phones.  This article speaks about the history of this influential piece of technology.

The First Mobile Phone
The first handheld mobile phone was launched in 1983 by Motorola DynaTac. Martin Cooper, an engineer at Motorola, is the key player behind this invention. He invented the First Generation (1G) fully automatic network series which was approved by the Federal Communications Commission, USA.

Two-way wireless technology based devices are cellular phones. They transmit radio waves for the communication. Let us see what happens when we dial somebody using our mobile phone. When we talk to someone through our cell phone, our sound waves are transmitted as radio waves by the antennas in our mobile phones and these waves are picked up by the radio transmitting tower in the base station near to us.

The transmission of these signals is based on the strength of our cellular network. This tower or mast relays these signals to the base station nearest to the destination phone. From that base station, the signals then reach the destination phone.

As the technology is developing day by day, several advancements are happening to the mobile technology as well. Artificial intelligence based mobile phones are also in the market nowadays.
